Displaced Louisiana residents are encouraged to call 24-hour, 7-day housing registry and start on the road home. Louisiana citizens displaced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita are being asked to register key information about their damaged homes by calling The Road Home, the state's new Housing Registry, or logging on to a new, one-stop web portal - www.LouisianaRebuilds.info.

Louisiana Recovery Authority
The Louisiana Recovery Authority is the planning and coordinating body that was created in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita by Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco to plan for the recovery and rebuilding of Louisiana.

Louisiana Speaks is a multifaceted planning process, endorsed by the Louisiana Recovery Authority, to develop a sustainable, long-term vision for South Louisiana in the wake of the destruction caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
